During the healing process it is common to experience some redness, itching, tenderness and oozing. We suggest using a very small amount of Tattoo Aftercare Ointment, A&D, or Aquafor.

  • Neosporin and Petroleum-based products such as Vaseline.

  • Touching, Picking, Scratching, & Rubbing

  • Prolonged Sun Exposure- If this is not possible, apply a tattoo specific sunscreen (SPF 30+) every 2 hours.

  • Submerging in Water- YES! Showers are OK

  • Shaving

  • Tight fitting clothes

  • Re-Bandaging- Do NOT re-bandage/cover your tattoos

  • Over Sweating- You can still work out, just take it easy and clean your tattoo after.

  • Excessive Activities that cause inflammation- Smoking, Alcohol use, Drug use, Exercising

Initially, it is common to experience some bleeding, redness, tenderness, bruising and swelling. During the Healing Process it is common to also experience itching & oozing.

We suggest Sterile Saline Wound Wash for Cleaning. WASH (your hands) SPRAY RINSE DRY

  • Removing Jewelry (before healed or for a period of time)- can cause trauma & shrinking of hole (even if your piercing is years old) IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR PIERCING, KEEP YOUR JEWELRY IN!

  • Rotating Jewelry- Not necessary

  • Wash Rags, Loofas, Cloth Towels- They harbor bacteria & cause snagging.

  • Rubbing Alcohol, Peroxide, Bactine, Ointments, Anti-Bacterial Soap

  • Fragranced soaps, lotions, washes, body sprays, hair products and makeup around piercing

  • Submerge in Water- Showers are ok. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR PIERCING DRY.

  • Excessive Activities that cause inflammation- Smoking, Alcohol use, Drug use, Exercising, etc.

  • Laying on your Piercing- Can cause irritation & shifts in piercing angle. Try a travel pillow.

  • If using a Q-Tip or Gauze to clean crusties, BE GENTLE, as these can cause snagging if not Cautious!
  • ONLY use a Gentle, Unscented Soap around your fresh piercing!
  • WASH HANDS 1ST- Both balls twist, Hold post & twist balls to the RIGHT to TIGHTEN. We suggest doing this during cleaning at least once every 2 weeks *Push Pins just pull out*
